How we verify data
We collect, cross-check and regularly refresh game data from several sources, so the figures you see for games, providers and mechanics are accurate and up to date.
Official sources
Where a provider publishes a game page or the game shows its rules, that is our primary source for RTP, versions, max win and bonus rules.
APIs
We read game catalogues through the APIs of SlotsLaunch and slot.report: artwork, demo, release dates, RTP, volatility, max win, bets and features.
Community signals
How often a game is searched for and appears in YouTube videos, and in how many Kenyan casino lobbies it is listed. We use these signals only to measure popularity — they never change a game's figures.
Data passport
Example: 10x RewindWhere the key figures of one real game in our catalogue come from, when they were last checked and their current status.

Data statuses
- Confirmed
- Seen in a primary source, or given by two independent groups of sources.
- Reported by one source
- Published by one catalogue; we have not seen it in the game itself yet.
- Sources disagree
- Sources give different values. We show such a value only with this marker.
- Not confirmed
- No source gives this value, so we do not show a number.
- Data pending
- A field we are still collecting for this game.

How we check casinos in Kenya
This section covers the operators we checked for Kenya, not every operator that accepts players there.
Licence. We look each operator up in the register of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya (GRA, which took over from the BCLB), read only from the regulator's own website. A match shows as “Licensed by GRA (Kenya)” with the licence type and the register year. When we cannot find an operator, the page says “Not found in the GRA register” with the date we checked — that is what we saw, not a legal finding. Licences from other countries appear only when a licence registry entry is tied to the same operator.
Availability in Kenya. We mark an operator as serving Kenya when its official site shows Kenyan shillings (KES) in its own text, or M-Pesa together with a Kenya marker on the site (a .ke domain or a Kenya page) or a second sign of service in Kenya; M-Pesa alone is not enough. An operator that holds a GRA licence but shows no such sign on its pages is labelled “Licensed for Kenya”, not “Serves Kenya”. A missing ban does not count as availability. Some sites block visitors from outside Kenya; then the page says our checker could not open the site — it does not mean the site is closed to players in Kenya.
Slots lobby. We read each casino's public game list, the same one its lobby page loads, and match titles exactly to the slots on this site, so “Gates of Olympus 1000” never counts as “Gates of Olympus”. “Popular at casinos: N of M” on a slot page means the game was in N of the M lobbies we read in full during the last 30 days, and the “Where to play” section on that page lists those operators by name.
Payments and limits. Payment methods, currencies, minimum amounts and withdrawal times come only from the operator's own pages or, where a page is marked, from a site we could not verify as official. Bonus terms do not count, and we never publish paybill or till numbers. Pros and limitations on a casino page are built from these facts by fixed rules, not written by hand.
Partnerships. Some operators are our partners and we may earn a commission from them; their pages carry a “Partner” badge. A partnership never changes the facts above, and an offer button appears only when a partner link is connected.
How we collect data
We start from two game catalogues: the game feed of SlotsLaunch and slot.report, an open catalogue of slot specifications. We then check the figures against the providers’ own websites — their game pages and the rules screen inside each game’s free demo — and keep every value with its source and date. When sources disagree, the page says so instead of picking one.
Where our numbers come from
Every number on a game page comes from a source we can name. A large part of our game maths comes from slot.report, an open catalogue of slot specifications, and we compare it with the game feed from SlotsLaunch before anything is shown.
| Source | What we take | Priority | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| SlotsLaunch | Game list, artwork, demo, release date, reels, RTP when published | First for artwork, demo and game type | |
| slot.report | RTP, volatility, max win, bets, grid, features, themes | First among catalogues for game maths | |
| Game client (demo) | RTP, bets and rules shown inside the game's demo | Primary source | |
| Provider website | RTP, versions, max win and bonus rules from the provider's game page | Primary source | |
| legacy-of-dead.com.de | RTP, max win and rules from a review site, only when the provider gives nothing | Used only without a primary source | |
| pirots4.ca | RTP, max win and rules from a review site, only when the provider gives nothing | Used only without a primary source | |
| slotclans.com | RTP, max win and rules from a review site, only when the provider gives nothing | Used only without a primary source | |
| slotmachines.uk.com | RTP, max win and rules from a review site, only when the provider gives nothing | Used only without a primary source | |
| trustspin.eu | RTP, max win and rules from a review site, only when the provider gives nothing | Used only without a primary source |
Both are aggregators. When they agree, we still treat the value as reported by one source, not as confirmed.
How we pick one value
We keep every value every source has published, with its date. One value goes on the page by fixed rules: for game maths the game’s own demo client comes first, then the provider’s game page, then slot.report, then SlotsLaunch, and a review site only when nothing else has the value; artwork and demo come from SlotsLaunch first. Bets are shown without a currency because no source states it. Game figures are never scored; the only ordered list is “Popular slot games”, ordered by the SlotPeek Score (below).
How our game texts are written
The “How to play” text on a game page is written only from the facts shown on that page. Before it is published, an automatic check compares every number and every game feature in the text with those facts and rules out wording that promises wins. A text that still fails the check after one rewrite is replaced by a plain version built directly from the facts. Texts that pass the check are published straight away; every week our editors read a random sample and remove any text that reads wrong. When the facts of a game change, its old text is no longer shown.
Screenshots and the game’s own rules screen
For some games we open the provider’s free demo, take screenshots of the game and of every page of its rules screen, and read the symbols, pays, special features and buttons from those pages. Every pay in the “Symbols and payouts” table is checked against the paytable the game client itself loads; a pay that does not match is not shown, and the table shows a dash instead. Rule and button descriptions are kept only when they come with a word-for-word quote from the text read off that screenshot. The date under these blocks is the day the screenshots were taken.
Popular slot games: the SlotPeek Score
The “Popular slot games” list is ordered by the SlotPeek Score, one number from 0 to 100 that combines three signals. Search interest: the average monthly Google Ads search volume, worldwide, for the game’s name together with its provider. Video buzz: YouTube videos from the last 90 days whose title names the game. Casino presence: in how many of the Kenyan casino lobbies we read in full during the last 30 days the game appears (the same “N of M” as on game pages). Search interest weighs the most, then video buzz, then casino presence.
Each signal is put on a logarithmic scale against all games in our catalogue, so one very large title does not squeeze everyone else to the bottom; the scale tops out at the tenth-highest value in the catalogue, and anything at or above it counts as the top. A signal we could not measure counts as zero. The score is a fixed rule (score-v1), not an editor’s opinion, and it never changes a game’s figures. On the 1st of every month we record the positions; from the second recorded month the list shows how each game moved and which games are new.
